Another depiction of freedom
I believe visuals of floating bubbles in the air with no foundation to hold them down looks quite striking and aesthetical. It also represents the notion of freedom as they float freely in the air.
Short Video's
I have created some simple short video clips after been given a certain title.
For shape and form, I decided to film a bowl of pot pourri. I found the different shapes in the bowl very invigorating. The shapes, colours and sizes all form a creative arrangement in the bowl.
Reflection
For reflection I decided to take a different approach. Instead of filming an image from a mirror I decided to mirror drinks by placing the same carton in front to construct the notion of reflection.
Light
For light I used a lighter in a dark room to create a flashing light.

Symbolism
I used simple hand gestures for symbolism. It is amazing how a mere thumbs up or thumbs down can denote a feeling.

Instead of filming hands and feet I took a different approach and filmed the two things associated with them, shoes and gloves.
Signs
For signs I filmed the sign of the road I grew up in. I did this because the road holds so many happy memories.

Poster for Work
I work as a Manger in a Hallmark card shop. We have recently started promoting a gift wrapping service so I decided to design a poster for the shop.

Recent Experience and Dream
I recently experienced winds of up to 180mph when I took part in the thrilling activity of indoor skydiving. Feeling as light as a feather, I was suspended in airflow, experiencing the incomparable stimulation of freefalling. The adventure started with an introductory briefing and training of what to do when you enter the wind tunnel. It made me feel like an army soldger, being briefed and trained to head out onto a mission. It was then time to get suited up with a helmet, earplugs, goggles and an overall flight suit, an outfit ready for the fashion police. It was then time to be lead into the ante-tunnel where I awaited my turn, the butterfly’s flying over time in my stomach as the nerves kicked in. As I saw people enjoying their experience, my name then flashed up and it was my turn to enter the wind tunnel. I walked to the doorway and was lead into the unfamiliar atmosphere. I kept my stomach positioned down, my legs slightly bent but up at the back and my arms in a square shape as I flew around the wind tunnel. I was in the tunnel for two minutes wit the wind blowing my all around, I felt free, drifting around without a care in the world. As my time came to an end I headed towards the door and exited the wind tunnel, I felt wind swept, like I had been a leaf blowing down from a tree and had only just kit the ground.
I recently dreamt that I started to make a cup of tea. I added the tea bag, added two sugars and water in the boiling water. I next added the milk and stirred before removing the teabag. On drinking the tea I discovered it was no longer tea but it was orange juice. Next, I pored a glass of orange juice; on going to drink this I discovered it was tea. The process continued until I was in a room full of glasses of tea and mugs of orange juices.

For motion graphics I had to create two pieces of work using algorithmic compositional processes. Both images had to include translation, rotation, reflection and dilation. I was very pleased with both my final images.
Colour Design
I based my colour design on an inspiring piece of work by an artist called Paul Klee.
Paul Klee, born in 1879, was a German painter; he had a distinctive approach to art and created pieces that supported the art movements of expressionism, cubism and surrealism. To create my colour composition, I gained inspiration from Paul Klee’s picture on the left. The simplicity of the squares is overlooked by with vibrant arrangement of colour and the intricate arrangement on the canvas. I found the image very inspiring and realised that a simple shape can appear to be quite elaborate and can be transformed into something distinctive and eye catching which I believe I have captured in my work.
I started with a simple 3cm square and mirrored it nine times so it filled the length of the page. I then went on to add colour to my squares. The first colour I decided to apply was yellow. I have always been partial to the colour yellow, I think it denotes happiness; it is vibrant and conspicuously stands out. The second colour I selected was blue. I choose this colour because it is a complementary colour to yellow and the two colours create a balance. I decided to place the colours in an alternating order to create a check board affect.
Next, I selected all the squares and copied and pasted them twice. I placed them all in an even row, with no gaps. The column of squares in the middle I used as a ruler to get an exact distance between the first column and the third. Once I had done this I was then able to delete the middle column. I also then deleted the bottom square from the third column which left me with a gap at the bottom. I then selected all the squares from the third column and scaled them up to make sure they met the length of the page. I repeated the same process to create another line of squares but this time copying and pasting my third column, so gradually each line and each space between the lines increased in size. This process was repeated until the lines met the right hand side of the page.
By this process I had used translation as I changed the position of the squares, reflection as I had mirrored the squares and also dilation because I had gradually increased the sizing. My next plan was to use rotation. For this I selected each row of squares and copied and pasted them.
Using the transform tool I rotated the new layer of squares 180 degrees and moved them to start on the left hand side the page. Next, I used the opacity tool and reduced the top layer to 45 percent; this gave me my end result. The outcome of using the opacity tool created a set of new Coloured Squares, mixing the yellow and blue together. I personally think this gave my final image a creative outcome.
Black and White Design
For my black and white design, I decided to adapt a photograph I had taken of friend. The focal point of my piece is a girl taking a photograph; I believe this has been identified significantly in the final image that I produced using Photoshop. I started by simply masking around the part of the photo I wanted to keep and removed the remainder. Next, I desaturated, turning the image into black and white, this emphasised the camera. The camera is the darkest figure in the image, therefore, making it more prominent. I positioned the picture using the rule of thirds and placed it on the right hand side.
I added a black background colour and then created a new layer. Once again I masked around the image but this time only masked the around camera. I copied and pasted the camera into the new layer. At this stage I decided to scale the camera down by four and placed it slightly below the main image. I repeated this process until I had six images of the camera, including the main, original image. The placing of the cameras I made the same distance apart. I also made sure the edge of the camera was just entering the lens.
At this stage I had used translation as I had moved the image of the camera to different places on the page, dilation as I had gradually made each image of the camera smaller as it reaches the left hand side of the page.
I then wanted to create a mirrored image of the cameras to place above my existing composition. I wanted to do this to create an illusion that the cameras are pointing to the girl. It would create a reverse vanishing point and would lead a spectator’s eye to the girl on the right hand side. I selected all five layers of just the camera; from this I used the rectangler marquee tool to draw a box around the cameras. I then copied my selection and after creating a new layer I pasted. Some of the image of the girl appeared in the new layer so I easily adjusted it by going neatly around it with the rubber tool.
To create the illusion that the cameras were mirrored above, I used the transform tool in the edit window and rotated my image 180 degrees. As this layer was the newest, I found that it overlapped the original image of the girl, to stop this; I dragged the layer below all the other layers but made sure it stayed above the background layer.
Once positioned correctly my image was complete. By adding the mirrored image above this created reflection and also change in direction as the cameras were approached from a different location.
Love of Beads
I have always been been attracted to the intricate shapes, the different sizes and colourful shades that can appear on a simply be bead. After coming across an image of a beaded outfit, I was inspired to draw out my own. I took ideas from beaded necklaces and bracelets I own.

Freedom
I was walking in the park yesterday and I was a balloon floating in the sky. I found the view very engaging and found that I could not take my eyes off the balloon. The word freedom came into my head as I watched the balloon float around without restriction through the air.
